Queso

cat facts

Queso is one of the original inspirations behind Blueberry & Queso and has spent years mastering the art of household chaos. He’s usually found exactly where he shouldn’t be, investigating things that are none of his business, and somehow convincing everyone he’s completely innocent when he’s caught.

Queso was born without a tail, which led people to assume he was a Manx. Out of curiosity, we had his DNA tested, and the results came back mostly Maine Coon.

So either Queso is full of surprises, or those cat DNA tests aren’t quite as scientific as they’d like us to believe. We suspect it’s a little of both. Get to know Queso’s Adoption story.

Favorite Activity

Queso is a big fan of yard time—or at least he was before I installed the cat fence. He loves watching birds, supervising squirrels, and keeping tabs on everything happening outside. Indoors, his favorite hobby is sleeping on Mom’s legs all night and then climbing onto the headboard at exactly 5:45 a.m. to remind everyone that breakfast is overdue.

Special Talent

Queso is suspiciously intelligent. He can hold what feels like an actual conversation, and if you tell him something, there is a good chance he understands exactly what you mean. We’ve tested this theory more times than we’d like to admit. At this point, we’re fairly certain he’s already done a tour of duty on Earth and came back with experience.

Unlike many famous “talking cats,” Queso refuses to use communication buttons because apparently communicating through intense eye contact and relentless persistence works just fine.
